'Going Green' is not a fad. There is a growing awareness and concern about plastics in our world. Single-use plastic can become a thing of the past.

We care because we like our streams clean, reflecting the brilliant sunlight. We like our trees the way they were intended, free of plastic bags and other litter. We like seeing our walking paths strewn with mossy rocks and leaves, and not plastic cups and bags. We want to know that the fish and birds with whom we share the earth are healthy, not threatened.

Single-use products are a threat to all of that. They pollute streams and litter walking paths. They endanger wildlife, like sea turtles, fish, and waterfowl. And they get tangled in otherwise majestic trees.

We , at Carrotseed, want to live authentically green and encourage our customers to do so by providing quality products that replace single-use products. We understand the connection we all have to everything on this planet and that small steps can make a big difference.

“The 2008 Alexandria Earth Day Committee voted to promote the City festival as a zero-waste event. It was important to reduce the footprint of the event if we were going to convince others the benefits of reducing their personal environmental footprints! In order to achieve the ambitious goal, we contacted CarrotSeed, who provided compostable serviceware for our food vendors. We also purchased reusable shopping bags with our logo from CarrotSeed. We were thrilled with the products and have recommended CarrotSeed to other organizations and businesses."
